One minute of fame
At the BlissDom '09 conference Allison's websites were up on the display screen multiple times, during one of the breaks I grabbed my friend "Dottie" and she snapped me this picture. {I created that banner!}
What I learned @ BlissDom '09
- The bloggers I spent the most time with (my carpool-mates & roommate) are really generous, hospitable and suh-weet!
- Allison is not a football player, but an one-of-a-kind, beautiful, soft-spoken southern belle ~ thanks for Bliss honey!
- I only saw and met one man blogger there and he was there with his beautiful wife and they have an AWESOME new site launching Wednesday.
- I met Rachel Matthews who was so kind and generous with her compliments.
- I sat right next to a Bossy look-a-like at a couple of my sessions and she turned out to be just another blogger, Debba @ Girlfriendology, who I have been faithfully stalking for over a year now - how ironic is that! {When I gave her my card she said "your name looks REALLY familiar" in an oh no kind of way, just kidding, she was beyond sweet & beautiful.}
- I had been really wanting to meet Lotus @ Sarcastic Mom, and I did! But when I ran up to her and said her name really loud and then just stood there starstruck I think I scared her. Maybe next year I'll have "it" under control.
- I also met another blogger that I dream about (just kidding - OK, maybe not) The Nester. She is just a vision and my carpool-mates knew her personally, which got me an automatic introduction, but I still fumbled all over the place and the first thing I said to her was "I loooove you!" Sheesh! Luckily, I think she is used to the drool.
- Oh, and I met Lisa Leonard who was there with her twin sister (and she was very gracious even though I was the eleventy millionth blogger to ask if they were twins.) Dude, she totally gave me a sterling silver key chain, like we were best friends... but then I noticed a lot of people got them, too.
- Disney showcased their new venture Yanni Voices, which was absolutely lovely, but honestly not my thing... this might be because I was sitting in front of the gargantuan speakers and because the majority of their songs were not English. But kudos for the Disney people for bringing the two hottest male vocalists into the room after the video ended.
- Chris Mann performed for us and he is just marvelous. LOVE, love, love him. He kind of looks like Zachary Quinto - Sylar from Heroes.
- We also got great goodies from Wal-Mart, Crocs, Land's End, Geek Squad and bazillion 100 calorie snack cakes from Little Debbie. Because, you know, we're phat like that!
Oh, and thanks for all of your wonderful input on the dress... I brought the brown one... but wore jeans all weekend. I think I'll keep both anyways, they're just so cute.
