Creative Prompts

It's so easy to be inspire but it's very hard to actually be inspired and follow through. I would say 40% of my writing were inspired by prompts and the other 60% comes from everywhere else.
List of a few of my favorite writing prompts:
Search Engine Stories Prompt - created by Selma in the city - uses real search engine terms as writing prompts
Fiction Friday - you don't have to write fiction but somehow it always inspire that in me
Cafe Writing - a monthly prompt with lots of options - poetry, fiction, essays
One Single Impression - offers prompts for haiku and and other poetic forms
Poefusion - run by the lovely Michelle - has four prompts: Monday Mural, Tuesday Title, Friday 5 and Poefusions and also introduces to Poetic Forms.
Three Word Wednesday - from the site: Each week, I post some words. People write things using the words. Then they comment here.
Read Write Poem - has a mixtures of prompts for new and growing poets
A Thousand Words - A photo or artwork is given and you are to write whatever inspires you but you do not have to write a 1000 words
Easy Street Prompts - Unable to write? Try these various prompts to help you get started
List of poem/writing forms that I have tried and liked:
Blackout Poems - find an article and just black out the unwanted words to create your poem
Six Sentences - write a story or anything that comes to you in just 6 sentences
The Rothko - a poem written while looking at Rothko's paintings
Imitation Poem - rewrite someone's poem to your own viewpoint
Shuffle Words - just drag and create
List of prompts for photography and various mix medias (currently participating in Photohunt and Macro Monday at 2lives):
